RD Webinar: South Arts's Grants and Fellowships Programs
Date: Thurs., Oct. 24, 2024 at 3pm-4pm ET
Location: Zoom (link provided to registrants)
Featuring agency representatives and an FSU grant winner, this webinar will bring light to South Arts's exciting arts funding programs. South Arts, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a nonprofit regional arts organization devoted to supporting and celebrating art in the southern United States. In collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the State Arts Agencies of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee--and with additional support from other public and private donors including the Doris Duke Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Mellon Foundation--South Arts supports artists and organizations through a rich and responsive portfolio of grants, fellowships, and programs.
As the talk begins, South Arts Program Directors Nikki Estes and Emmitt Stevenson will discuss the agency's funding opportunities for artists and organizations through South Arts.
Afterward, an FSU professor, Marty Fielding will share on his experience winning a South Arts grant. Mr. Fielding, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art, was awarded the Presentation Grant in 2022.
Finally, the floor will be opened to the audience for questions and conversation. Audience members are encouraged to bring questions related to their own projects.
