From 1969 to the early 2010's, Florida State University published Research in Review quarterly to celebrate the discoveries of our researchers, and share new ideas between disciplines. Originally a short newsletter, Research in Review grew into a full-blown magazine by the late 1980's before being folded into University Communications a little over a decade ago.
In spring 2021 ORD happened across 20+ boxes full of uncirculated copies of Research in Review in a Westcott file room. We sent most to Strozier Library for archiving, but kept one copy of each edition for ourselves.
Thus begins the newest feature in the Research Development Digest: Research Revisited. Every quarter we'll republish an old edition of Research in Review- sometimes with commentary, sometimes without- starting with the inaugural edition from November of 1969.
